Senior Laboratory -- Composites
On-line Simulation of Thick Composite Laminates
A form based version of the cure simulation has been developed to make
preliminary cure cycle evaluations of 1/2", 1" and 2" thick composites.
The number of temperature ramps for the cure cycle is limited to five,
which should be sufficient for most applications. The user can modify a
number of the physical and kinetic parameters of the composite system.
This allows the user to investigate different components within the
composite, changes in the resin kinetics, etc.
Please be considerate to other users. Do not run multiple simulations at
once. Extensive simulation work should be done with the actual FORTRAN
code, which is available on-line to people within the University of
Delaware system. This simulation is meant to be for educational purposes only and should NOT be used for the design of critical equipment.

For those who desire more flexibility, use the following input form to request how many time/temperature points you wish to use for your cure cycle. Using this form will also allow you to change the output nodes for the simulation. Note that the initial temperature profile is not predefined in this case. Also note that the simulation parameters are for a different experimental system and do not have the same model parameters as the default input form.
